If you are reading this, you probably know the problem:  Young women of shidduch age over the age of 20 or 21 often receive very few calls – or no calls at all – from shadchanim.

Until recently, few people understood the reason that many eligible, wonderful young women remained single. It was convenient to blame the girls themselves for being too picky, too busy with their careers, not willing to settle, or a host of other “reasons.”

The simple truth, however, points to a very different source of the problem: in Yeshivis/Litvish circles, at ALL times, there are many more girls than boys looking for shidduchim.  This severe lack of potential marriage partners has resulted in many girls staying single.

As bad as the problem already is, we must put in our best efforts to prevent the crisis from affecting thousands of girls in the coming generation, r”l.

NASI issued a visual presentation of the problem.  You can see it by clicking here.
